What a battle on the leader board late last week. For those of you who stayed up all night waiting to see how the competition wrapped up, you got to see some last minute arrivals show up and knock out the leaders. This week should be just as interesting!

Q: When looking at fish pictures in tournament history, I was wondering why some fish are verified and some are not? Are the fish that are verified, the fish that were eligible for prize money? - Flick

A: Good question, when a tournament closes our forensics team examines each entry, however if the catch is not in contention for a prize we do not put it through the full battery of tests and we do not update the length with our precise findings. More often we must verify many catches in one species since a lot of the submissions are incredibly close in size. Therefore when you see a catch in someone's tournament history that has not been verified the displayed length is what the angler submitted. - BountyAdmin
