Good day, anglers and danglers! We promise the only bailouts you’ll be reading about here are the ones done with a bucket and a boat.

Our last newsletter was two months ago, and we thought the economy looked bad then. Is this what happens when we stop writing to the Bounty Nation? Sorry about that! The point is it’s all relative, folks. And speaking of relatives, the Bounty Team would like to wish our family of BountyFishing members, and their loved ones, all the best for a happy, healthy and fruitful new year.

Upcoming New Year’s Tournament

What do Yellow Perch, Walleye, Largemouth Bass and Crappie (B&W) have in common? They’re all eligible species in BountyFishing’s first annual New Year’s tournament Dec 29 – Jan 4.

It’s FREE to compete in the BountyRecords Challenge
Open Until March 1, 2008

Here’s how it works:

Before you go fishing, retrieve a computer generated BountyCode from the BountyFishing website. The BountyCode is valid only for the week it is issued. This BountyCode will be used to verify your catch and MUST be visible in your photo of "Fish with Ruler". [see Official BountyRecords Rules]

Check the BountyRecords page for the Bounty (prize money) available for each species. At the end of each week, BountyFishing will validate all of the week's submissions and determine if the previous BountyRecord has been broken. If your fish establishes a new record, the Bounty for that species is yours and we will reset the amount. For any species whose record was not broken in the previous week, BountyFishing may add even more money to the available Bounty. Remember to answer all the questions in the email when submitting your catch.
