As
the last weekly tournament of the summer enters its final weekend,
BountyFishing anglers are trying tirelessly to reel in the big one in
hopes of winning the remaining prize money. More importantly, nine of
our very skilled members will help write the first chapter in the
BountyFishing history book by capturing the titles of BountyFishing
Master Angler and the elusive BountyFishing Ultimate Angler. |

Congratulations
to first time tournament winners Duncan Bissonette (smallmouth),
Charlie Thompson (Musky/Pike), and Steve Papp (Largemouth). Well done
also to first time money winners Jason Hughson, Richard Collin, Chad
Lapa, Charie Whaley, and Sharyn Amiel (yes, wife of BountyFishing
superstar Greg). Sixty-nine people have won money competing in
BountyFishing tournaments this summer. After winning the Walleye
category in Week 6 and placing 2nd in Week 7, Paul Methner again took
home the Bounty last week.
Aaron Weibe
finished first in both the Panfish and Catfish/Carp categories bringing
his total prize winnings to over $10,000. Greg Amiel won the Salmon
category with a BountyRecord breaking Chinook and placed 2nd in Trout
with a nice Rainbow. James Williams continues to dominate the Trout
category winning it for a 5th straight week with a 38.75” Lake Trout.
Well done to all the Week 8 money winners!

Beginning on October 1, 2007, BountyFishing will be offering 6
consecutive weekly tournaments. The eligible species are: Largemouth
Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Pike, Crappie (Black & White),
Rainbow/Steelhead Trout, Catfish, and Carp.
The Fall Tournament format will be slightly different than this past
summer. Namely, the tournaments will be species based (no categories)
and the list of species will change from week to week. There will be 3
eligible species per week.
For example,
Week 1: Largemouth, Pike, and Walleye
Week 2: Smallmouth, Crappie, and Rainbow Trout.
The tournament schedule will be available on the web site Tuesday September 4, 2007. Registration for the fall tournaments begins on Monday September 10, 2007.

Ok folks. Here are the details we promised about the BountyRecords.
The BountyRecords will be determined by the longest fish submitted for
each eligible species during the summer tournaments from July 2-
September 2, 2007. For the month of September, BountyFishing will offer
4 consecutive weekly opportunities at breaking a record for the
following species:
Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Black Crappie, White
Crappie, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Muskie, Pike, Rainbow Trout, Catfish,
and Carp.
Just
like our regular tournaments, the week will begin on Monday morning and
end on Sunday night. Each species will start with a Bounty to be
determined by the Bounty Team. At the end of each week, BountyFishing
will validate all of the week’s submissions and determine if the
previous BountyRecord has been broken. If your fish establishes a new
record, the Bounty for that species is yours and we will reset the
amount. For any species whose record was not broken in the previous
week, BountyFishing will add money to the available Bounty.
Three important details to keep in mind:
1) It is Free to play.
2) You must have a valid BountyCode in the photo of “Fish with Ruler”.
3) Email your photographs to records@bountyfishing.com
Full details will be available on the website next week.

At the end of the Summer Tournament season, BountyFishing will award a
cash prize to the ONE (1) angler who accumulates the greatest combined
score of their largest fish in each category. Only the longest fish in
each category PER WEEK is eligible. You need not submit a fish in all
categories.
Going into the last week, Aaron Wiebe finally passes Greg Amiel in
the running for the crown. The (unofficial) top 5 contenders are:
Aaron Wiebe, Fishing4tails, BigFishCarlson, FISHHUNT2, and Markus.
Please note, that for both classifications, your fish did not have to
place in the top three to qualify. Also, should you be a contender, all
of the fish that have not previously been verified by BountyFishing
will be validated by the BountyLab.
