  • About Yourself
    Old fat man trying to make sense of life after being told he's dying... surviving now for 6 years after the white coat gave me 3 months... Trying to live a productive life. I took up guiding for catfish to help defray the costs of my favorite pastime... fishing for catfish.
  • Favorite species
    Blue catfish is my favorite quarry... closely followed by channelcat and the majestic flathead. Everything else is bait.
  • Most Memorable Fish
    I was fishing alone above L&D16 (Webbers Falls Lake) when my Ambassadeur 6500 started screaming in protest of a smoking strike. The 80 pound test saltwater dacron braid held while the 8 foot Fig Rig 100 "Tooth Tamer" bucked. Everything worked in unison and all the knots held. 45 minutes later, the monster blue was at the side of my boat, my right hand gripping it's huge lower jaw. 80+ pounds of catfish was at my mercy. There was no one to take the picture and I knew that hoisting the egg-laden female into the boat would definately injure her and possibly kill her. I simply thanked her for the thrill and released her back to the water from which she came.

    Excuse? Never needed one... just said "I'M GOING FISHING! SEEYA!"
