Hey I'm around! Just licking my wounds from that @$## Crappy tourney! SKUNKED! Went to Idaho and fished some lakes for em because my river dropped 6feet and I couldn't find the lil devils! I did find some nice Rainbows, Perch and Bluegill not Bounty's but it was fun! Lookin forward to Carp week....and you??? Smiles Always! MA

Thanks all. It was a rough week and very wet but worth it. I was hopeing to hook into a 45-50 inch chinook but the weather didn't co-operate. There is always next year. There are some Canadian Bass records still swimming in southern BC. The record has been ate many times here. I thought about heading down there (to Oxbows and Vaseux lake) but is 11 hours from here in northern BC. Also have to get my house in order as relatives coming out next month. Just to many to do things on my plate. Happy I got to head west for the week. Good luck to all in the upcoming tournies.

The Oxbows (old Okanagan River), B.C.: Largemouth bass WHY: The chance to break the Canadian record. WHEN: May through July. WHERE: Thick cover near shallow water between the towns of Oliver and Osoyoos (you'll need permission on private sections). HOW: Flipping jigs, flukes, spinnerbaits and tubes all work. ACtually there are a few lakes stocked with huge bucketmouths and it's Ironic that those fish came from the waters I fish the bay of quinte I cant remember the name of the lake but I'll look into it! Thought you might have had a 45" salmon! Mike :)

Looks like they have closed lakers for the fall. Hope they come back for winter time tourney. Guess I will have to go for some steelhead or rainbows when the $$$ pot gets high. Cheers

Hi Bob. I had to go back to Ontario for my uncles funeral so didn't get out at all, and week 9 as well. I'm looking forward to some fall fishing but have to finish my house so will be minimal. Looking forward to seeing what the reward will be for breaking a record, then I will have to make a day trip. Nice to see your doing well.
