Hey Rainbow, there are definately tribal members that do not agree with this.. They feel that the amount of damage that it does to the relationship between tribal and non-tribal people out weights the gain from the netting. I know a lot of people that just plain don't like the Indians because of this. I know quite a few members from this tribe that would like to see it done away with because it harms their own personal relationships with people outside of the tribe, but there are some that refuse to let it go.

Hey Rainbow, I have been a member of an organization called PERM. Its a local organization that is slowly battling the tribal netting of Lake Mille Lacs.. Mille Lacs lake is a natural fishery for walleyes. They don't stock it at all, so you can imagine the dent that this netting before spawn does to the lake. Thanks for watching the vid. I know Mille Lacs isn't the only place with this problem. See ya!
