I am retired U.S. Navy, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Fleet Reserve Association since 1975. My dad took me fishing for the very first time in 1957 in the Aroostook River in Northern Maine.

Vietnam era vet. Combat related injuries resulted in 100% permanent and total disability and ultimately chapter 65 retirement from U.S.N. Started fishing at about 8. Fishing more than 50 years.
Most Memorable Fish
9 lb. 2 oz. Largemouth caught on base in Virginia at Fort A.P. Hill on a Jitterbug (black back w/white belly) about 8 p.m. out of a canoe, assited by good friend from Virginia. He said "It pains me to be outfished by a Yankee!"
