  • About Yourself
I'm a native of Metairie, LA, and a graduate of Louisiana State University. I was commisioned a 2nd Lieutenant in May of 2005, and after serving a year overseas, I am currently stationed at Shaw AFB, SC. I now live in Dalzell, SC with my wife and dog Cajun. I'm an avid outdoor enthusiest who enjoys writing about and photographing the salt marsh environment.
  • Favorite species
I would have to say that my number one favorite species is Speckled Trout, but Redfish would have to be a close second. However, now that I live in a prime Bass fishing region, Flipping falling timber and skipping docks for bass is quickly becoming a primary interest.
  • Most Memorable Fish
I'm extremely fortunate to have an exceptional family who quickly developed my love for the outdoors, more notably fishing. My most memorable fish would have to be the one I caught when I was four with my brothers spinning rod. The sun was getting low and they weren't having any luck, so my brother decided to teach me how to throw a spinning real. Long story short...the 4" baby back devils horse I pitched into the middle of this pond ended up in a 3lb bass's mouth, and ever since that day...my passion for the sport of fishing was ignited.
  • Dream Fishing Trip
My dream fishing trip is no longer a dream...two years ago, a buddy of mine and I caught a limit of beautiful speckled trout in september, in the surf. We didn't have a speck smaller than two and a half and had two that were five and one pushing six...not bad before 8 a.m.!!!!!!
  • Best excuse you ever told someone to go fishing
This is how deep saltwater runs through my families veins...my pops called my principal in high school, my senior year to tell him I had a doctors appointment and that I would be back before 10 a.m. Needless to say, it was November and the conditions were foggy and calm...we headed down wilkinson canal into bay round in Myrtle Grove and made a one stop shop. 50 trout in the box and back at the house before 9 am...shower and change and back to school before 10 am. Man I miss those days!!!!!
