  • About Yourself
After working (and fishing) in most states of the midwest US during my career I have now retired to the best fishing grounds for year round fishing S.W. FL. I am also blessed to have a wonderful wife who enjoys fishing the flats in our kayaks as much as I do, Five beautiful children and three Grandchildren with a brand new addition in October of '07, my future fishing buddy Colton J.

I usually use traditional tackle mostly spinning tossing artificial baits but sometimes I beat the water to a froth with the fly rod. Maybe soon I'll post a video of my double haul for some comic relief. I also am a member of the best kayak fishing forum go here to check it out

  • Favorite species
This would be a toss up. It's hard to pick a favorite between our resident SW Florida Bull Redfish, Fatty Snook or the Silver King of the Florida Flats the Tarpon. All of which will put an angler to the test.

When I lived in the upper midwest I would have to say walleyes through the ice was my favorite way to go .
  • Most Memorable Fish
Although not brought to the boat I would definitely have to say the first Tarpon I hooked from my kayak on tackle way too light for the job at hand . He came fully outta the water at less than ten yards head shaking in majestic fury and I forgot to bow to the King. Result...POP goes the weasel and left me shaking and screaming like a little girl for quite some time.
  • Dream Fishing Trip
Again a hard choice between the big Poons in Costa Rica, Big Salmon in Alaska or the Gorgeous Pecocks of the Amazon. But if I could really only choose one Costa Rica here I come.
  • Best excuse you ever told someone to go fishing
I guess I have been pretty fortunate I haven't had to make up and excuse to go fishing since I was eight years old. I don't remember the excuse but I do remember the penalty when my folks found out.Ouch!
