Fishing profile
  • About Yourself
40 something from IOWA, now living in Orlando for about 15 years. Married with two kids, 1 and 3. I'm a sales manager who works 60+ hours/ week- with the duties around family, work, home etc, I've adapted to 5 hours of sleep/ night and uncanny night vision to feed my addiction once the kids are down!
  • Favorite species
Large Mouth Bass, Large Mouth Bass, and ummm... LARGE MOUTH BASS!
  • Most Memorable Fish
5.19.09 (LAST NIGHT) Pouring down rain, significant lightning, working a swimbait for over an hour with minimal nibbles and two pesky gators following me down the bank. The rain subsides briefly so I switch to top water. I throw a PERFECT cast so the retrieve follows the illuminated path of a street light. I barely see a boil and the lure STOPS.... I set the hook and my beautiful Chronarch D begins to hum in sync with the Firewire braid zipping through the guides. Is it a fish or a gator? I flip on the cap light to see a flash of green and white with fins and no teeth. I get her close to the bank and the drag goes off again, now with every head shake. I lip her at the bank and she breaks from my hold and attempts another run. Thank GOD for Firewire and Gamakatsu hooks! I move her into shallow water and put a monkey grip down on her lip and pull her out for photos. 11.5 pound LMB, inches to be disclosed later!
