  • About Yourself
I'm 28 years old and a young husband and father. I have three passions in life - Jesus Christ, family, and the fishing. I love to bass fish from a kayak or canoe, getting back in those tough-to-reach areas. I also enjoy fly fishing for trout in the north Georgia mountains, and sitting up all night by rural Alabama farm ponds waiting on a huge catfish to bend my rod.
  • Favorite species
I started fishing for channel catfish 20 years ago with bologna and a bobber. That was all it took. From there I became an obsessed largemouth and smallmouth bass angler. In high school I learned how to fly fish and have really enjoyed targeting large trout with big, ugly hand-tied streamers. I've recently developed a passion for targeting trophy catfish and stipers.
  • Most Memorable Fish
For me its a tie. The first most memorable fish would have to be the first lunker bass I landed. It came from a farm pond outside of St. Louis (where I grew up). I'd taught myself to bass fish on this lake and had been fishing it for nearly 8 years, never having caught a fish over 3 pounds. I was walking down the bank casting a spinner bait around the dam and something huge hit. I set the hook and 10 minutes later was holding the largest bass I'd ever caught. It went 10.5 lbs and I was ecstatic.

The second most memorable fish was a wild 22 inch rainbow trout I caught on my fly rod. I was fishing a section of the Toccoa river in north Georgia and five minutes into my day, this trout inhaled my streamer. It took me over 20 minutes to land the fish because of the current, but I was eventually able to wade downstream while fighting the fish and net it. That was te first really big fish I had ever hooked with my fly rod.
  • Dream Fishing Trip
I would love to go to Canada with an outfitter and fly into a remote back country lake loaded with northern pike and musky.
  • Best excuse you ever told someone to go fishing
I have dirreah and can't come to work
