About Yourself
I was raised in rural Alabama where fishing was as normal an every day thing as breathing. I cut my teeth on Largemouth Bass as a kid, and have been hooked ever since. I really got hooked on fishing back in the days of the Lews baitcasting reels, and the introduction of the buzz bait, yes I still remember tying buzz baits on the family car antenna to wear it in so you got just that right wabble sound.
I moved around quite a bit while in the Navy so I was fortunate to fish alot of different places, even off the back of a submarine in the atlantic for tuna! I primarily Bass fish but I have been known to fish for a few other species including; crappie, catfish, trout, stripers, tuna, shark and a few others.
I currently live in Southern California. If you remember the controversy over the possible world record largemouth bass caught a few years ago at Lake Dixon here in California, well I live about 30 miles for the lake and fish it every week. Yes I have seen some bass in there that are HUGE! They stock the lake regulary with trout and these bass just gorge themselves, its a very small lake, might as well be a hatchery for a world record.
