Mille Lacs had a huge perch hatch this year and the walleyes have been gorging themselves. It's hard to find a hungry fish right now. It's getting HOT here now, so I'm switching gears and going after the mighty muskie. Good Luck and tight lines homies; )
About Yourself
I obviously love to fish just like everyone else on this website. I have fished since I was just a we-man and have had a passion for it ever since. I have guided on a lake that we in Minnesota call the "Big Pond", Mille Lacs Lake. This is when I learned what I really love and thats taking kids and newbies out fishing. I get more excited when a youngster or a newbie catches a fish than when I do. Its just something about the pure thrill they get from it, so I recommend everyone take a kid fishing, and bring back the same fire that you yourself had when you were young.
Favorite species
Walleyes, Bass (large and smallmouth), and Muskies. Walleyes are at the top though.
Most Memorable Fish
The most memorable fish that I think that I have ever caught would have to be a Smallie that I caught on a Poe's giant jackpot while fishing for Muskies. The Smallie was 21.25" and absolutely inhaled that bait. I thought it was a Muskie until it jumped, thats how much water it moved going after the bait. The show that fish put on is what makes it so memorable.
Dream Fishing Trip
My dream fishing trip would be to either go to South America for Peacock bass, or to spend a month in Alaska chasing salmon from the ocean to the rivers.

Hey Man, it was the same for us up here, caught lots of fish but nothing to brag about, Martycoo did land one 22" think he made top 10 at least, gl on the Bass tourney's, I'm heading for Calgary on Thursday and haven't fished out there in over 15 years. Don't know if i'll get anything to show off, but i'll give it a go. Later

Well, nothing but heartache but had a lot of fun, fished with Russell, Martycoo and AndyMartin during the week. Nothing to brag about but posted some pics just the same, it's all good. Hope you made out OK.

Derrick 27-28 should compete it matters who shows up the red river boys show up LOOK OUT! To be honest all the big fish that come to this area are mostly gone by now out into Lake Ontario and if some New York boys were smart they would get in on this!
