About Yourself
I'm 22 years old. I breathe, eat and sleep fishing. I drive a big rig and am relocating to Seattle the first part of december to pull oversize. So i better start learning how to be a much better trout and salmon fisherman, lol. They still offer some good smallmouth fishing and halfway decent largemouth fishing. I started fishing with my grandpa at 3 years old. I had been a very strict largemouth/smallmouth fisherman since i was about 11...no bobber or live bait crap. In the past couple years i decided to branch out into the different species and to do the slip bobber crappie jig/minnow fishing and the live bluegill catfishing or casting big swim baits for those big muskies. I love a good crappie, trout, bluegill or walleye meal. and i absolutely have a ball landing a large muskie. pike are about as retarded as they come, but what fun, especially the younger ones, i think a pike would hit a beer can if you were dragging it across the top. I started competitive bass fishing at the age of 14. I'd love to be a pro bass fisherman....who wouldn't? Other than fishing I enjoy golfing, shooting pool and having a cold brewski every now and then ;) who doesn't?

Most Memorable Fish
I started competitive bass fishing at the age of 14. Talk about beginners luck, the very first tournament me and my dad ever fished I caught a 6lb 14 oz indiana largemouth and he caught a 3.3lb.(which was a dandy fish but looked belittled next to my hog)..we caught both our fish on a terminator spinnerbait that we both thru all day long and just burned the water up. he didn't have his own pole or tackle box prior to that tournament. All he knew was open face gear (i learned how to use a baitcaster at 11 or 12) and the tackle knowledge was limited too...spinnerbait, buzzbait, plow jockies, heddon torpedos, roostertails and berkley power worms fished strictly open hook and split shot, lol. we had no clue what a texas rig was. I actually got my dad into bass fishing. I told him i wanted to fish a tournament to see what it was like so he went and bought a 16ft. Sea nymph deep bottom aluminum v fishing boat with a 80 horse evinrude. now don't get me wrong it did the job but all these other guys were fishing out of big rangers, tritons, skeeters....etc. I remember prior to launching that 1st tournament morning we met a guy in a brand new gambler with a 225 merc. on it. we launched 9th and he launched 17th and in about 2 minutes was just screamin past us, lol. we loo ked like a couple of yayhoo's out there...38 degree weather, sleet, snow, rain...we had on big orange rain jackets and neoprean gloves...we looked like we were going hunting not fishing. the look on some of the guys faces when i brought that monster to the scales was priceless. we took big bass and 4th place that day with 10lb 1 oz ...2 fish in the livewell. my fishes back was out of the water the whole time he was in the livewell and couldn't even turn around...that livewell was pathetic to say the least. so that whole experience lit a fire under my dads ass and by the end of the season we were fishing out of a nice ranger bass boat....but the funny thing is we haven't caught a bass that size since lol.

Best excuse you ever told someone to go fishing
One time driving for Schneider National, they messed up my paycheck something horrible, I mean my check for the week was like $80, no lie. I was so mad i couldn't see straight. no one made an effort after i had left numerous messages to get ahold of me, so i parked the truck and fished for 2 days. THEN they got ahold of me when they realized their truck wasn't moving. Dispatch needed an explanation why their load was going to be 2 days late. And i said very simply "I was fishing" ......LOL! And yes I caught some beautiful/delicious rainbow trout in southern Oregon.
