Fishing profile
  • About Yourself
Hi fellow anglers, my name is Brandon Treadaway I first started fishing in Lake potchatrain with a bunch of neighborhood rug rats. I palyed baseball in highschool and college, and have two degrees one from the University of New Orleans and second from Our Lady of the lake college. I am now a Registerd Nurse, and work for Bayou Home care. I love catching all species, but particulary targert saltwater inshore fish in the Louisiana marsh.
  • Favorite species
    Speckled Trout AKA yellow mouth
  • Most Memorable Fish
When I was 12 years old my friend Kevin called me up, wanting to know if I wanted to go fishing at the pumping station in Lake Pontchatrain. I agreed and grabbed my tacklebox and shinmano spining reel combo and took off on my huffy to his house. He said we would catch live shinners and fish under a cork for anything that would bite. We first got to the Lake and he immediatley guided me and helped me target a nice area to cast on the shore line. So my cork hits the water and sits for 30 seconds or so, and i look up and no cork, I said Kevin my CORK IS UNDER. I set the hook on a beautiful 22 inch black drum and at that moment I knew i would be fishing for the rest of my life and that summer yielded many trout, reds and drum.
  • Dream Fishing Trip
5 pound specks, 5 pound specks, 5 pound specks and I will be a little selfish and take a few 6 and 7's in one trip. good grief that sounds like a dream.
  • Best excuse you ever told someone to go fishing
Told my boss that i had to go to the eye doctor. Best decision of my life as it yielded a limit of reds 25 specks one going 5 pounds and one a bit over 4 pounds. If you know the conditions are going to be right, go NO MATTER WHAT
