BountyCode: The BountyCode is a unique, seven digit alpha-numeric code which is randomly generated at the start of each day (daily codes) and week (weekly code). The BountyCodes are generated at midnight (12:00 a.m.).


A daily code allows a participant to be eligible for a one day outing. A weekly code allows a participant to compete throughout a one week contest.



BountyRecord: The longest fish per species caught and entered by a BountyFishing member and validated by BountyFishing.


BountyPrize: Any prize issued by BountyFishing.


BountyFishing Forensics protocol: This proprietary process is a patent pending series of tests developed by leading digital imaging experts to insure the veracity of the images uploaded to BountyFishing.


BountyLab: A team of trained technicians that examine images with our patent pending forensics tools.


Active Member: A BountyFishing member who joins the Bountyfishing community; and is an active member of the community, including posting in the forums, blogs, and image areas.


Competing Member: A BountyFishing member who competes in tournaments and is also an active member of the community including posting in forums, blogs and image areas.


Eligible Catch: Any fish on the list of species that is accepted during a particular tournament or contest.


Fish with Ruler Photo: This is an unedited image of the fish with a ruler.


Fish with Angler Photo: This is an unedited image of the angler holding his or her catch.

Q. Who is BountyFishing?
A. Established in 2007 as the ultimate online angling tournament and sport fishing community.

Q. What is a tournament?
A. Tournaments are seven day events starting on Monday morning and finishing on Sunday night.


Q. What is an Outing?
A. One day of competition in a seven day tournament.


Q. Where can I fish?
A. Absolutely no fish caught in fish hatchery waters, fish culture stations, "Fish & Pay" Lakes, private pond, or fishing preserves may be submitted (see rules).


Q. Is tournament participation open to everyone?
A. The tournament is open to everyone except residents of Vermont, Maryland, North Dakota, Delaware, Colorado, South Dakota, Tennessee, Quebec and Mexico and those under 18 years of age are not eligible to compete in the tournaments but may join BountyFishing.com and participate in the online community.

A. To enter a tournament you must first be a BountyFishing member. Once you join BountyFishing, please click here to enter a tournament.

Q. How are my fish ranked?
A. The images of your fish are ranked by length.


Q. How often are BountyPrizes awarded?
A. They are awarded weekly during the tournament seasons.


Q. How long after the tournaments close are BountyPrizes paid?
A. You will receive payment within 30 days of the conclusion of the tournament for which you have won a prize.
           
Q. How are BountyPrizes Paid?
A. We will send a check to the address you are registered with or, we will credit your Paypal account at our discretion.
                       
Q. How do I create a profile?
A. After you register and activate your account, you will be redirected to your profile page.
           
Q. I can’t log in to my account.
A. Please make sure that you have typed the correct email and password combination. Remember, your password is case sensitive.


Q. How do I change my password?
A. Click on forgot password and enter your email address in the field and an email will be sent to you. The email will contain a temporary password that will be required the next time you login. After logging in you will be prompted to change your password.

A. Click on forgot password and enter your email address in the field and an email will be sent to you.


Q. How do I change my personal information?
A. From “My Account” click the “Edit My Personal Profile” tab.


Q. How do I change my default picture?
A. From “My Account” click the “Edit My Personal Profile” tab.


Q. How do I create an album?
A. From your “My Account” page, click on the “Edit my Albums” tab and then the “Create New Album” tab.


Q.How do I upload a photo in my album?
A. After you create an album, click the “Edit” button. You will then have the option to “Add picture(s)”.


Q. How do I delete one of my photos?
A. After you create an album, click the “Edit” button. You will then have the option to “Delete” a photo.


Q. Who can see my photos?
A. Once you upload a photo, they are viewable to all BountyFishing members and visitors.


Q. What do I do when I see an offensive photo?
A. Please email info@bountyfishing.com with your complaint.


Q. How do I add a friend?
A. When you are logged in and see a member you find interesting, click on that members’ link and from their page click “Add to My Friends”.
