Global warming’s effects on Hollywood sea creatures
You’re probably tired of hearing about global warming. But, did you ever consider the disastrous effects it has on the things that mean most to you? Think about these revered sea creatures from the movies, and take note of what they’ve become. Coincidence? No way—check this out:

The terrifying sea monsters from our celebrated past have been reduced to small fry! Not the best choice for a fishing contest, at that point!

I hope you know that “Global Warming” is not just happening now. Its part of Earth’s cycle. It happened before, just like it is now, and it will happen again in the future. Theres scientific evidence.

Someone needs to explain “satire” to Michael.

Michael, is your real name by any chance G. Bush? Nobody is buying the “it happened before” crap any more.

Good find… but…
What about the Kraken from Pirates of the Caribbean (2006)?
Greg said this on August 7th, 2007 at 11:08 am
@ Michael, so perhaps it did happen before, but at the rate it is now? Perhaps we have sped the process up, and with it sped up as so, whats to keep it from going much farther than nature would intend?

Though it worked nicely for the clean exponential drop from 3 x 10^3 to 3 x 10^-1, a 3,000 pound bottle-nose dolphin? That seems a bit high. More like half that.
Greg said this on August 7th, 2007 at 11:21 am
LARGE bottle-nose dolphins reach 900lbs. 3,000 Though? lol

Seriously Hippies, global warming is a reoccuring process, I would actually like for it to happen in my lifetime. Just think, we wouldn’t have to fly across the country to go skiing anymore. the hot Texas heat won’t be so bad anymore. “is it cold in here?” hell yeah it is always cold in here, nipples will always be erect!! its going to be a sweet party, bring your parkas!!
k thx!

The shark in JAWS was named “Bruce” and not “JAWS”
Lawrence said this on August 7th, 2007 at 11:42 am
I would agree with Michael that Global Warming has happened in the past and will happen again. The only problem is that MAN is causing a premature increase in global warming instead of the normal Earth cycle (thru volcanoes spewing excess CO into the atmosphere.)
Travis said this on August 7th, 2007 at 11:47 am

would the kraken even count since the movoe is set in “pirate” times?

The biggest human component of green house is the air you breath and the food you eat. Don’t believe it? Look it up we are walking, talking 24/7 Co2 emitters until the day we die. The modern Global Warming scare media tactics have very little to do with burning fossil fuels and everything to do with indoctrinating a new global socialism, (purchasing carbon off-sets, pulease) Nope this about a new capitalism taxation movement and ultimately global population control.
Duff said this on August 7th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
Why are people so bent on having global warming our fault… and lets face it this summer has been pretty mild. and it was on record hotter in the 40’s and 50’s. and the people who are on the other side are saying what i am to defend me… we are not sure how fast it happened before, so there is no need to jump a head
Jon said this on August 7th, 2007 at 2:40 pm
I dunno the polar ice caps weren’t melting in the 50’s and 60’s, the hole in the ozone layer wasn’t as big as the entire united states, back then, there weren’t as many cars on the road. People can compare the past to now all they want, times change and global warming is becoming a serious problem. Don’t be foolish and risk the lives of your children and grandchildren because you don’t wanna give in to the “hippies”. Are all the hippies scientists now? It appears so, since all scientists say this is being caused by humans. Or do you think we have no effect on the plantet? Durrrrr. Retards.

Little Mermaid, anyone?
Flounder?
“An Inconvenient Truth” gives a detailed explanation. Go see it and re-think about your contribution to global warming.

I think global warming is a fad, if hollywood is showing the side effects of Global Warming (which has the same initials as George W) have to be tied to the poor production of movies.

sigh….do people understand that the ice melting in the ocean might actually lower sea levels. The vast majority of that ice is below sea level. Ice takes up more space in ice form.

“An Inconvenient Truth” has more bad science in it then a science book from the 1300’s

Last ice age - less than 15,000 years ago. The main reason we should reduce pollutant and emission gasses is it is the right thing to do for people (and animals) having to live and breath on the downwind side.
If and when the Yellowstone Volcano blows, it will send us back to global winter.
